Welcome back to a great season of Symphony! Opening Night holds works inspired by the visual arts. You’ll hear a “fast, light and unfailingly sunny” piece from Michael Torke, as well as Hoosier composer Jim Beckel’s, an interpretation of paintings found at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (Orch. Ravel) will round out the evening, accompanied by an expressive multi-media experience.
