Cameron Gilman is a junior at McCutcheon High School and is the oldest son of Greg and Jacenda Gilman. Cameron has played the euphonium for 6 years and has been a member of the McCutcheon Wind Ensemble for 3 years. Cameron has studied privately with Mr. Lynn Colwell for 5 years. He placed first chair in the 2017 Indiana All-State Band as well as took part in the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble contest, receiving perfect scores at both District and State levels. Cameron was honored by his peers with receiving the 2016-2017 Outstanding Wind Ensemble Member award at McCutcheon.
Outside of music, Cameron has been in scouting for 11 years, and is currently finishing his Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scout Troop 372 at Christ United Methodist Church. Cameron also enjoys mountain biking, sailing, and hiking.
Cameron is honored to have the opportunity to perform with the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra. He thanks God for the gift of music as well as all of his friends and family for their unending support and listening to him prepare his musical pieces.
